التهمت النيران 470 هكتارا في الغابات القريبة من الحدود التونسية الجزائرية.
و لقي 34 شخصا على الأقل مصرعهم وأصيب 26 آخرون جراء حرائق ضخمة تشهدها عدة محافظات في الجزائر بحسب السلطات في البلاد.
وذكرت وزارة الداخلية الجزائرية، في بيان الاثنبن، أنها سجلت نشوب 97 حريقا في غابات ومحاصيل زراعية بـ 16 ولاية، مشيرة إلى أن 7500 من فرق الإطفاء يشاركون في جهود إخماد الحرائق.
وأضافت في بيانها، أن الجزائر تشهد موجة حر قوية؛ إذ وصلت الحرارة 48 درجة، ما تسبب في وقوع حرائق لتضطر السلطات إلى إجلاء السكان لتفادي حدوث خسائر في الأرواح.
